ISCOL 2025

The Israel Seminar on Computational Linguistics

Location: Bar-Ilan University

Date: December 18th, 2025

Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computational Linguistics are active research and development fields in Israel today, both in academia and industry. ISCOL is a venue that was established in 1995 and has been held continuously every year (almost). It serves as a venue for exchanging ideas, reporting on work in progress and established results, forming collaborations, and advancing connections between academia and industry. ISCOL is also a friendly stage for students making their first appearance in this community.

FAQ

What is ISCOL?

ISCOL is the Israel Seminar on Computational Linguistics, a community venue for NLP and CL research.

Is ISCOL archival?

No. Works presented at ISCOL will not be considered as archived.

How does the review process work?

Submissions are lightly reviewed by the organizing committee to ensure relevance and quality. The process is not anonymous. The goal is to maintain a friendly and inclusive environment for sharing research.

Can I submit a paper that was published or accepted to be published in another venue?

Yes. Preferably if it was accepted (to be) published during 2025 and was not presented in previous ISCOL events.

Can I submit a full paper instead of an extended abstract?

Yes. Please indicate whether the paper was accepted (and venue), or is currently under review. A mature work (in progress) that has not yet been submitted to any venue is also fine.

What are the submission file format and style?

You should submit a PDF file, using the *ACL format if it's work in progress, or the format of the conference/journal for full papers.

Will I need to print my poster?

Yes. You will have to print your own posters, hang it in the break before your poster session and take it down during the break following your poster session.

What are the dimensions for the posters?

TBD.

What is the event language?

English. All presentations will be in English.

Where can I find information about previous ISCOL events?

ISCOL has been running since 1995. You can find information about previous iterations:
